Maintenance Engineer CoventryDays, Monday to Friday 40,000 We are recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join an established manufacturing business in Coventry. This is a hands on role focused on maintaining production machinery, minimising downtime and ensuring equipment operates efficiently. Key Responsibilities:Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on production machinery and equipment.Diagnose and repair mechanical faults to minimise production downtime.Respond to machinery breakdowns and carry out effective repairs.Maintain and replace mechanical components, including bearings, gearboxes, pumps, motors and conveyor systems.Identify recurring faults and recommend improvements to equipment reliability.Work closely with production teams to ensure machinery operates safely and efficiently.Maintain accurate maintenance records and follow site health and safety procedures. The Ideal Candidate:Previous experience as a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer, Maintenance Fitter or similar.Strong mechanical fault finding and problem-solving skills.Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance within a manufacturing or industrial environment.Good knowledge of mechanical systems, machinery and components.Knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems would be advantageous.A relevant engineering qualification or apprenticeship would be beneficial.
