Maintenance Engineer

An established manufacturing business has a new requirement for a Maintenance Engineer to join the business. The company is an award-winning firm who have been established for over 50 years and employs over 5000 people worldwide. They have a new facility in Leicestershire, where, at the moment, they employ circa 75 people, but they are looking to seriously expand on this in 2025/2026. The post offers a regular day''s position with some incredible benefits. Salary -40k to -45k, working a 37.5-hour week, Monday to Friday, 8 am to 4 pm, overtime paid at time and a half, flexible working, annual bonus, Health benefit, Pension 5% matched, 35 days holidays, learning and development, and much more.

This is a rare opportunity for a Maintenance Engineer to join the business on regular days. Reporting to the manager, you will be joining a team of 4 Engineers.
Responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer:
- To comply with Health, Safety, and Environmental requirements within the business in line with the Health & Safety Policy and Procedures, e.g., Work Instructions, Risk Assessments, and Safe Systems.
- To provide reactive engineering support for the manufacturing areas and other functions within the business, providing you with a variety of day-to-day tasks.
- The management and completion of routine maintenance schedules.
- To supervise, coordinate, and work alongside external contractors.
- Exposure to change control activities and processes.
- To manage efficiently mechanical & electrical breakdowns to optimise plant efficiency and productivity.
- Promote continuous improvement processes to develop and improve plant performance.
- To maintain accurate and detailed records of all work carried out.
- Participate in your development as an engineer by attending all training requirements.
- Finally, to demonstrate the Almac values and beliefs through your standard of work, communication, and behaviour.
Requirements of the Maintenance Engineer:
- Experienced Maintenance Engineer, multi-skilled. Would consider a Mechanical or Electrical bias.
- City & Guilds Level 2 in an Electrical or Mechanical related Discipline (or equivalent).
- Post-apprenticeship experience in a maintenance environment.
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages (to include Word, Excel, and Outlook).
- Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
- Ability to work a part of a team to deliver business objectives.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously whilst maintaining a high level of accuracy in all work carried out.
