We are seeking a skilled and reliable Maintenance Engineer to join our team in a fast-paced production environment.
This is a hands-on role requiring strong electrical and mechanical expertise to support both preventative and reactive maintenance of production equipment.
Working hours: 8am-6pm Monday to Friday
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out preventative maintenance in line with the planned maintenance schedule
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, diagnosing and repairing mechanical and electrical faults
- Perform advanced troubleshooting on complex electronic and mechanical systems
- Communicate effectively with external suppliers and service providers
- Source and control spare parts inventory, ensuring critical components are available when needed
- Prioritise and manage workload efficiently to minimise equipment downtime
- Support general maintenance tasks across the site as needed
Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in equipment maintenance within a high-speed or manufacturing environment
- Strong background in electronics with at least 3 years’ experience in both mechanical and electrical systems
- 18th Edition IEE Wiring Regulations certification (desirable)
- Proficient in diagnosing faults in mechanical and electrical systems
- Familiarity with stock control systems and spare parts management
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Outlook
- Strong communication and organisational skills
- Ability to work independently and bring tasks to successful completion
