Maintenance Engineer

Maintenance Engineer.
Orion is partnered with a fast-paced manufacturing company located in Coventry. We are recruiting a methodical and experienced Mechanically Biased Mechanical Maintenance Engineer.
The ideal candidate will be Mechanically biased as 80% of the issues on site are of a mechanical nature. We are looking for someone driven and ambitious to help drive the company towards manufacturing excellence.

Maintenance Engineer Shifts:3x Week shift rotation - Monday - Friday:
- Week 1 7am – 3pm
- Week 2 3pm – 11pm
- Week 3 11 – 7am
Maintenance Engineer Duties:
- Reactive maintenance of manufacturing machinery – boilers, steam pumps, conveyors, extractors etc..
- Mechanical maintenance 80% electrical maintenance 20%
- PPM’s
- Line improvement tasks
- Fault finding using PLC’s
- Can read and work from electrical & mechanical schematics
- The provision and implementation of solutions in line with the engineering strategy to reduce downtime
- Use of root cause analysis to determine the underlying reasons behind problems and failures, seeking to identify areas for improvement in plant performance.
- Continually drive towards a PPM culture
- To assist in setting of machines in conjunction with the operations team
- The provision of a first-class engineering service
Maintenance Engineer Required Experience :
- Mechanical qualifications from a recognised body
- NVQ level 3 or BTEC L3 or equivalent
- Electrical fault-finding skills
- PLC experience
- Machinery maintenance (PPM’s and reactive)
- Both mechanical & electrical machinery maintenance
- FMCG background
- Continuous improvement projects
