Maintenance Engineer

Maintence Engineer: The purpose of the Role-

Responsibilities

• Mechanical service, repair, replacement of: Motors, gearboxes, couplings, seals, pumps, valves, hydraulics, pneumatics etc.
• Electrical service, repair, replacement of: Motors, sensors, valves, control gear, VSDs, servos, instrumentation, power distribution systems, safety systems etc.
• Performs certain measurements, adjustments, tests and calibrations.
• Identification and selection of suitable parts and spares for the task. Evaluates the possibility or the necessity of repairing or replacing components. Works with the parts coordinator to obtain and maintain stock levels and stores accuracy.
• Make suggestions and propositions to improve the installations and to increase plant availability, quality and safety.
• Supports the projects department in the implementation of new equipment, plant or services.
• Maintain control measurement equipment and weighing equipment.

Requirements

Education and Experience

• Recognized engineering apprenticeship or HNC/HND in Engineering
• Building Services Experience: Boilers, air handling plant, refrigeration
• Food sector background
• Packaging machinery
• Complex control systems

-Skills & Capabilities

• Accurate root cause analysis of breakdowns and effective corrective action carried out.
• (Desireable)- Welding: TIG and Arc
