The Role

As an Electrically Biased Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving plant equipment within a FMCG processing environment.

Working on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern (days and nights), you will ensure maximum plant uptime through reactive and planned maintenance activities.

Performance Objectives

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on production and process equipment
• Support mechanical maintenance where required
• Work on motors, drives, inverters, control panels and instrumentation
• Fault finding on PLC systems (Siemens / Allen Bradley desirable)
• Support continuous improvement initiatives
• Ensure compliance with health & safety and site regulations
• Minimise downtime and improve reliability across the plant
• Extensive use of CMMS for work recordinG
• Accurate shift reporting and handover.

Person Specification

• Time-served Electrical Engineer (Apprenticeship or equivalent)
• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)
• Experience within heavy industry, FMCG , process, manufacturing or similar environment
• Strong fault-finding ability on industrial electrical systems
• PLC fault-finding experience (modifications advantageous)
• Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, safety-critical environment
