Maintenance Engineer
Location: Near Framlingham (own transport required)
Salary: £40,000–£45,000 (includes 10% night shift allowance)
Shifts: Weekly rotation – 6am–2pm / 2pm–10pm / 10pm–6am
Contract: Permanent

What You’ll Be Doing:
- Be the first point of contact for all equipment and engineering issues during your shift.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance and respond quickly to breakdowns.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults—getting to the root cause, not just the symptoms.
- Support the installation and commissioning of new machinery.
- Champion continuous improvement across equipment and processes.
- Collaborate with production teams and build strong cross-functional relationships.
- Ensure all work meets Health & Safety standards.
- Share your knowledge—mentor apprentices and support operator training.
- A recognised apprenticeship or equivalent in electrical, mechanical, or maintenance engineering.
- Hands-on maintenance experience in a manufacturing setting.
- Ideally 18th Edition qualified (but not essential).
- Confident working with single/three-phase systems, motors, control panels, and drives.
- Familiar with hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drive systems.
- Skilled in dismantling and reassembling machinery.
- Strong fault-finding and decision-making abilities.
- Comfortable using maintenance systems (like Pirana) and Microsoft Office tools.
