Maintenance Engineer

Multiskilled Maintenance Engineer Nottingham Monday to Friday Up to -50,000 About the Role We''re recruiting for a rapidly growing manufacturing site in Nottingham that''s building out a new engineering team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a hands-on, multiskilled maintenance engineer to make a real impact in a fast-paced environment where innovation, reliability, and continuous improvement are key. If you enjoy problem-solving and working in a dynamic setting, this could be the perfect role for you. Key Responsibilities

• Perform planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive repairs across the production line.
• Troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues across conveyors, chillers, mixers, packaging machinery, weighers, and more.
• Support the installation and commissioning of new equipment.
• Maintain detailed and accurate maintenance records.
• Help develop and improve engineering processes, focusing on reducing downtime and improving efficiency.
• Contribute to health & safety, food hygiene, and audit-readiness standards.
• Mentor junior engineers or apprentices where needed.
• Collaborate closely with production, QA, and operations teams to resolve issues and drive improvements.

What We''re Looking For

• Experience in a multiskilled engineering role within food, FMCG, or general manufacturing.
• Comfortable with both mechanical and electrical tasks (approx. 60/40 or 50/50 split).
• Experience with PLC systems, sensors, VFDs, and electrical wiring.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities in a high-pressure environment.
• A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and the ability to work autonomously.
• Welding and fabrication skills are a plus.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
