Mechanical Maintenance Engineer Location: Lancaster Days - Monday to Friday The Opportunity Our client is a well-established and growing organisation within the agricultural and manufacturing sector, and we are currently recruiting for a Mechanical Maintenance Engineer to join their engineering team at a large-scale production facility in Lancaster. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced maintenance engineer who enjoys working in a fast-paced production environment and is confident carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and mechanical repairs on industrial plant and machinery. You will play an important role in maintaining the reliability, safety and efficiency of the site, helping to minimise downtime and ensure production runs smoothly. The Role Working as part of the wider engineering team, you will be responsible for maintaining a range of industrial production equipment and supporting the site''s operational requirements. Your responsibilities will include: Carrying out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site. Diagnosing mechanical faults and completing repairs quickly and effectively to minimise production downtime. Maintaining plant and machinery to ensure safe, reliable and efficient operation. Responding to breakdowns and prioritising repairs according to operational requirements. Supporting planned maintenance shutdowns and ensuring work is completed safely and on schedule.
