Maintenance Engineer

A fantastic opportunity has arisen for an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established food manufacturing business in the Bridlington area.

Salary: -45,000 - -48,000, negotiable DOE
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9am - 6pm, with some flexibility
Holiday: 25 days + 8 bank holidays

Working as part of a small, close-knit engineering team, you''ll play a key role in keeping production running efficiently, reducing downtime and helping to develop a more proactive, preventative approach to maintenance.

The role:

• Carry out PPM and reactive maintenance across production and packaging machinery
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults and respond effectively to breakdowns
• Maintain conveyors, motors, gearboxes, pumps, bearings, sensors, drives and inverters
• Work across mixing, cooking, forming, cooling, conveying and high-speed packaging equipment
• Fault find pneumatic systems, single and three-phase electrics and automated machinery
• Support PLC fault finding and diagnostics
• Assist with machinery installations, modifications and engineering improvements
• Carry out root cause analysis and identify opportunities to improve reliability and line performance
• Work closely with production while maintaining excellent food safety, hygiene and Health & Safety standards

About you:

• Previous maintenance engineering experience within food, FMCG or a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Ideally mechanically biased with good supporting electrical skills
• Confident fault finding across production and packaging machinery
• Ideally Level 3 Engineering qualified or equivalent
• Proactive, reliable and comfortable taking ownership
• Happy working within a small engineering team where everyone gets involved
