Maintenance Engineer (canning)

Maintenance Engineer (Canning) Salary: Up to £56,000 per annum Location: Middlesbrough Reporting to: - Engineering Manager Hours: Monday Friday (days) (flexibility may be needed) Type: Full time / Permanent Key Responsibilities Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on canning and packaging equipment, and bottling equipment when required. Diagnose and resolve electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic faults. Minimise downtime through effective fault finding, root cause analysis, and Root Failure Analysis (RFA). Support the site''s Reliability Programme through proactive maintenance and equipment improvement activities. Identify and implement opportunities to improve asset reliability, maintainability, and performance. Support continuous improvement initiatives using Lean Manufacturing principles to improve safety, reliability, quality, and efficiency. Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site''s CMMS system. Support equipment installations, upgrades, and engineering projects. Ensure compliance with all Health and Safety, Quality, and Food Safety requirements. Work collaboratively with Production and Operations teams to maximise equipment performance and OEE.
