Maintenance Engineer Opportunity

We''re recruiting for a family-run manufacturer based in Leeds that has been successfully operating since the 1980s. The business designs, manufactures and supplies specialist products to the UK housing sector from a modern, well-invested facility. Due to continued growth and ongoing investment in automation, they are looking to strengthen their engineering team.

You''ll be joining a company with an exceptionally loyal workforce and a supportive Engineering Manager who is passionate about developing engineers through training and continuous improvement.

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you''ll be responsible for maintaining a wide range of automated manufacturing equipment, ensuring maximum uptime across the production facility.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planned preventative maintenance (PPM)
• Reactive maintenance and breakdown response
• Electrical and mechanical fault finding and repairs
• Maintaining ABB robotic welding cells, Trumpf laser cutting machines and other automated production equipment
• Supporting continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability

About You

To be successful in this role you''ll ideally have:

• Previous experience as a Maintenance Engineer, Multi-Skilled Engineer or Maintenance Technician within a manufacturing environment
• Strong electrical and/or mechanical fault-finding skills
• Experience carrying out planned and reactive maintenance
• PLC fault-finding and/or robotics experience would be advantageous but is not essential
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work within a close-knit engineering team
• A desire to learn, develop new skills and build a long-term career
