Mechanical / Electrical Maintenance Engineer
Location-Wrexham
Salary-  £52,500 + Benefits
Shifts- 4 on 4off (2d2/n)
25 Days Holiday + 8 Bank Holidays

The Opportunity

We are currently recruiting for a skilled Mechanical or Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a well-established and highly invested manufacturing site in Wrexham. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a modern, automated environment with significant ongoing investment in machinery, technology, and site improvements.

You’ll be working with advanced manufacturing systems including robotics, automated production lines, and end-of-line packaging machinery. The business prides itself on maintaining high engineering standards and offers long-term stability with opportunities to develop your technical skills.

This company are willing to put you through external courses I have successfully placed an engineer in this business and they’re funding his NVQ 3 In Electrical Engineering

The Role

As a Maintenance Engineer, you will play a key role in ensuring production equipment runs efficiently and reliably.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Planned and reactive maintenance on automated manufacturing equipment
  • Fault finding on mechanical and/or electrical systems
  • Working on robotics, automated machinery, and end-of-line packaging equipment
  • Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across the site
  • Ensuring minimal downtime and maintaining production efficiency
  • Working collaboratively with production and engineering teams

Requirements

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline
  • A strong track record within a manufacturing or automated production environment
  • Experience with automated machinery, robotics, or packaging equipment (desirable)
  • Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities
  • A proactive, hard-working attitude and good reliability
