Maintenance Engineer

Alchem Partners are currently representing a family owned, chemical manufacturing business based in the Northwest. With over 100 years in industry, they are a respected and recognised business with a solution driven and customer centric approach. Due to a promotion within the team we are recruiting for a Maintenance Engineer to join the existing maintenance team. This role will suit a Mechanically bias individual who has some basic appreciation for electrical. Main Duties and Responsibilities Diagnose mechanical and electrical breakdowns and execute repairs promptly to minimise downtime. Perform routine inspections, maintenance, and repairs on a variety of machinery and equipment. Carry out scheduled work tasks and reports. Welding and fabrication duties. Manage stock of components and fittings, reordering as required. Operation of CMMS system. Completion of PPMs. Liaise with supplier reps. Maintain accurate service records and history reports. Understand and comply with lockout tagout procedures, COMAH etc. Any other reasonable duties relevant to the role. Knowledge, Experience and Qualifications City and Guilds/NVQ Level 3 or above in Engineering Previous Maintenance Engineer experience in a similar industry. Knowledge of FMCGs machinery A minimum of 3 years experience in a general engineering role In return our client is offering a salary of £40,138pa, plus overtime paid at time and a half, on average 25 hours available throughout the month should you choose to work ..... full job details .....
