Maintenance Engineer Location: South Birmingham Salary: Up to £40,000 per annum Working Hours: Predominantly 9:00am 5:00pm, with flexibility required to provide engineering cover between 6:00am and 10:00pm Holiday: 25 days + Bank Holidays Pension: 3% employer / 5% employee The Company A growing manufacturer of nutritional supplements and healthcare products is looking to appoint a Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join its expanding engineering team. The business operates across two sites located just three miles apart, providing an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys a varied role combining hands-on engineering with technical and documentation-based responsibilities. This is a newly created position driven by continued company growth, and the successful candidate will receive full training and guidance to develop their knowledge of the company''s processes and equipment. The Role This is a genuinely varied 50/50 hands-on and desk-based engineering position. Working across two nearby sites, you will be responsible for maintaining a wide range of production and packaging equipment, while also supporting the development and maintenance of engineering documentation, procedures and preventative maintenance systems. The manufacturing environment is predominantly clean and controlled, with some areas requiring gowns and protective clothing.
