This position offers the opportunity to work within a dynamic team, ensuring the smooth operation and safety of electrical systems across a varied estate.Day-to-Day Responsibilities:Perform maintenance and repairs on power and lighting systems, including ancillary equipment across university-owned properties.Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and testing of the low voltage electrical network, fire alarm, and emergency lighting systems.Supervise and assist in routine maintenance tasks, ensuring compliance with statutory legislation and industry standards.Install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment for both permanent fixtures and temporary events.Engage with specialist contractors, providing supervision and liaison to ensure quality and compliance.Utilise provided technology to record job details, risk assessments, and other relevant data.Participate in the maintenance team''s call-out rota, providing out-of-hours support as needed.Required Skills and Qualifications:Recognised apprenticeship or equivalent qualifications in Electrical Installation or Maintenance.Relevant certifications such as 18th Edition IEE Wiring ..... full job details .....
