We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Electrician to join a busy manufacturing operation, ensuring the reliability, safety, and performance of production machinery and site electrical systems. This hands-on role involves fault finding, preventative maintenance, installations, and repairs to maximise uptime and support efficient factory operations.

Description
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and industrial machinery across the site.
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) to improve equipment reliability and reduce downtime.
- Diagnose and rectify electrical faults on production equipment and factory systems.
- Read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.
- Support the maintenance and repair of motors, conveyors, control panels, and associated electrical equipment.
- Assist with equipment upgrades, modifications, and new machinery installations.
- Ensure all electrical work complies with current regulations, codes, and safety standards.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities and repairs.
- Work collaboratively with engineering and production teams to improve operational performance.
- Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability and efficiency.
- Adhere to all health, safety, and environmental procedures.
- Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by management.
Profile
The Successful Candidate:
- Qualified electrician with relevant electrical engineering qualifications or apprenticeship training.
- Previous experience working as a Maintenance Electrician within a manufacturing, industrial, or production environment.
- Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
- Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings and technical documentation.
- Experience maintaining industrial machinery and production equipment.
- Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment would be advantageous but is not essential.
- Proactive and methodical approach to maintenance activities.
- Strong understanding of health and safety requirements within an engineering environment.
- Excellent team-working and communication skills.
