Maintenance Electrician

Our client is a large fabrication company servicing the Offshore industry from their busy North East facility. Due to recent projects won they now require a Maintenance Electrician to work across their site. The Role As a maintenance engineer you will be working on a varied set of tasks that change from day to day.There will be a mixture of work including:Planned maintenanceReactive maintenanceImprovement projectsLegal compliance checks / activitiesSafety checks / activitiesProblem solving, root cause fix.Keeping records of work done and handing over work to other shiftsSupporting the creation of maintenance plans and activities The Person Apprenticeship or qualifications in a relevant discipline e.g. apprenticeship as a mechanical technician or electrician. Excellent diagnostic and problem-solving skillsAbility to work under pressureInterpersonal and people-management skillsAbility to understand a variety of engineering procedures and functions Able to certify electrical installations in buildings Able to run cables and test circuits.Team-working skills to liaise and work cooperatively with individuals at all levelsNegotiation skills and the ability to persuade othersWorking at height is mandatory requirement.Training can be provided for MEWPs and cherry pickers if not qualified.Willingness to drive a forklift truck would be an advantage.
