Maintenance Assistant

Randstad CandP are working with a leading national Facilities Management provider who are seeking a dedicated Facilities Maintenance Assistant to join their team in Liverpool.The Package: Competitive salary 28,000 - 32,000 per annumTemporary to permanent opportunity Full-time - 40 hours per weekGenerous company pension scheme 33 days annual holidays (including bank holidays)Training opportunities Key Duties:Carry out planned, reactive, and cyclical maintenance tasks, fabric repairs, and semi-skilled handyperson work across the site to agreed service standards.Perform routine compliance testing, including fire alarm testing, emergency lighting checks, and maintaining accurate records in site logbooks.Support the building water hygiene maintenance regime in accordance with the site water safety logbook and regulatory standards.Carry out all duties respectfully and safely, upholding patient dignity, privacy, and infection control standards across the facility.Maintain safe working practices in line with Health and Safety, COSHH, and waste disposal regulations, while ensuring all tools and plant are routinely inspected.Participate in an on-call rota to ensure out-of-hours coverage, and assist with seasonal duties such as gritting and snow clearing during severe weather.Skills, Experience and QualificationsBasic awareness of building fabric, minor carpentry, plumbing, and general repairs.Awareness of routine testing procedures (e.g., fire alarm activations, basic emergency ..... full job details .....
