Maintenance Assistant - Blackburn
Salary: -28,000 + Package

Our client is looking to recruit a reliable Maintenance Assistant to support the day-to-day maintenance of a large commercial building based in Blackburn.

This is a varied, hands-on role where you''ll assist with planned and reactive maintenance tasks, helping to ensure the building remains safe, functional, and well maintained.

• -28,000 basic salary.

Key Responsibilities:

• Carrying out general building maintenance and minor repair works.
• Assisting with planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance tasks.
• Supporting qualified engineers and contractors on site.
• Completing basic plumbing, joinery, painting and general fabric repairs where required.
• Ensuring all work is carried out safely and in line with health & safety procedures.
• Reporting maintenance issues and updating job records as required.

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a maintenance, facilities management or building services role.
• Good all-round practical skills with the ability to carry out basic repairs.
• A proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Relevant qualifications are beneficial but not essential-practical experience is the priority.
