We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Care Home Cook to join our team at our home in Hollywood, South Birmingham. This is a rewarding opportunity for someone who is passionate about preparing nutritious, home-cooked meals while working in a caring and supportive setting. Summary of Duties To be responsible for the day to day running of the busy care home kitchen ensuring compliance with relevant Health and Safety and Food Hygiene requirements and company policy. Plan, prepare and cook nutritious meals for the homes service users ensuring their individual dietary needs are met. Responsibilities To liaise with the service users to develop a nutritious menu which takes into account their individual needs (including Allergens) and preferences and which offers choice. Prepare, cook and serve the meals, ensuring food is cooked and stored and labelled in line with food safety legislative requirements. Communicate and support the service users with dignity and respect. To ensure that all areas of the kitchen are kept clean and hygienic at all times following the cleaning schedule.
