Position: Assistant Gas EngineerSalary: 30000 p/annumLocation: Based in Tiverton/ExeterHours: Full-time, 42.5 hours p/week.We''re currently recruiting for a Mains and Services Assistant Engineer (Level 1) to join a busy and growing team working on gas network installations. About the RoleThis is a hands-on, varied position supporting Mains and Services Gas Engineers across a wide range of domestic and commercial projects. Work includes installing pipework, supporting underground vessel installations, and working across new housing developments and caravan parks.You''ll be involved in:Assisting with installation of gas pipework to domestic propertiesWorking with a grundomat (mole) for trenchless pipe installationDigging pits manually (ground conditions permitting) and completing reinstatementSupporting underground vessel installations (working alongside excavator teams)Testing and commissioning pipeworkWorking on new build sites (open trench) and commercial installationsThis is an outdoor role in a physically demanding environment, working in all weather conditions.Key ResponsibilitiesSupport Mains and Services Engineers in daily operationsEnsure high standards of health, safety, and environmental complianceDeliver excellent customer service when working on-siteAccurately complete and submit all required paperworkFollow company quality procedures and safe working practicesUse tools and equipment in line with best practiceContribute to operational efficiency and team ..... full job details .....
