Mainframe Developer - OpenVMS, DCL Scripts - Manufacturing Systems+ Permanent or contract role+ Paying up to 70k per annum+ Hybrid working from Northampton Key Skills:+ OpenVMS Development via DCL ro similar experience+ Working in a Manufacturing environmentWe are seeking an experienced OpenVMS Developer to take ownership of a critical Manufacturing Execution System environment within a high-tech manufacturing operation. This is a key role focused on supporting, optimising, and evolving MES capabilities to drive production efficiency, system reliability, and compliance.The successful candidate will act as the technical lead and subject matter expert for the MES platform, working closely with manufacturing, engineering, quality, and IT teams to support business-critical operations and future system upgrades.Key ResponsibilitiesManage, configure, maintain, and optimise the MES environmentEnsure high system availability and performance across manufacturing operationsSupport integration with ERP, PLC, and other enterprise systemsLead troubleshooting, enhancements, and continuous improvement activitiesAnalyse production workflows and implement MES improvementsDevelop SOPs, documentation, and best practicesDeliver user training and ongoing technical supportEnsure compliance with industry and audit standardsLead future MES upgrade or replacement initiativesCollaborate with external vendors and technical partnersExperience RequiredStrong experience managing and configuring MES ..... full job details .....
