Working style: hybrid work, 2 days per week on site in Culham, AbingdonKey responsibilities:Lead the HTS model coil design and development programme.Develop technical strategies and lead multidisciplinary engineering teams.Oversee magnet design, fabrication, assembly and testing.Work closely with specialists in cryogenics, HTS cables and quench protection.Collaborate with technical teams and international partners.Essential experience:Strong background in HTS magnet design and manufacture.Deep understanding of cryogenics.Experience using magnet engineering analysis tools.Chartered membership of a relevant professional institution.Proven technical leadership and delivery of complex engineering projects.Experience in tokamak magnet design would be an advantage.Interested, or know someone who could be a great fit?
