MAG Welder

Dutton Recruitment (Sheffield Engineering) are currently recruiting:

We are looking to a for MAG Welders for a long-term contract based with our client in Scunthorpe.

Immediate start available (subject to interview and weld test)

Rate of pay is -22.00 per hour (Monday to Friday)

This position does have the potential to go permeant for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities

• Carry out MAG welding on carbon steel components
• Perform fillet and butt welds (ML position) to a high standard
• Complete single-sided, full penetration butt welds with no backing
• Weld in PA (flat) and PB (horizontal-vertical) positions
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and welding symbols
• Ensure all work complies with quality and safety standards
• Conduct visual inspection of welds and rectify defects where necessary
• Maintain a clean and safe working environment

Requirements

• Proven experience in Carbon MAG welding
• Qualified or previously tested in:
• Fillet welds - ML
• Butt welds - ML
• Positions: PA / PB
• Single-sided, no backing, full penetration butt welds
• Ability to work from technical drawings
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• Relevant welding certifications
