We currently have an excellent opportunity for an Machining Supervisor to join a friendly manufacturing company in Poole.

Introduction

The primary role of the Machining Supervisor will be to lead a small team of machine operators on a brand new late shift working Sunday to Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Manage production operators and a small team of machine operators allocating work within the team.
• Support, coach, mentor and train the operators.
• Work with the continuous improvement team to improve production performance.
• Maintain production machinery
• Set up and run machinery
• Conduct annual appraisals, review operators’ performance, and identify any additional training
• Work to the company QSHE policies and procedures

Ideal Experience

The ideal candidate will have some experience within leadership within a similar environment, a proven manufacturing background, with a hands on, self motivated approach.

Any experience of extrusion machines would be an advantage and / or any previous forklift experience.

Salary

£37440 - £38480 depending on experience

Hours

Sunday to Thursday from 3:30pm to 11:30pm (including half an hour paid lunch break) The hours on Sundays can be flexible on Sundays.
