Permanent night shift - Sunday to Thursday 11pm - 7am

Start People Ltd are currently recruiting for a machine technician with a mechanical bias for a permanent opportunity with one of our key FMCG Manufacturing clients.

The ideal candidate would have a background in FMCG or Food Manufacturing, and does not need to be qualified or time served - training is available for the right candidate.

We are looking for someone who shows initiative with a proactive approach to breakdowns and repairs.

Duties & responsibilities

• To maintain the site equipment to ensure always in good working condition.
• To assist with installation of new plant and equipment.
• Equipment such as conveyors, capping machinery, filling machines.
• To carry out planned preventative mechanical/some electrical maintenance and repairs of all electrically operated plant and supplies across the whole site.
• To assist in major breakdowns and equipment failures.
