Machine Shop Technician Roles and Responsibilities: Set and operate CNC turning machinery to manufacture precision componentsOperate conventional lathes, milling machines and other workshop equipmentRead and interpret engineering drawings and technical specificationsSelect suitable tooling, fixtures and machining methodsManufacture one-off, prototype and small-batch componentsCarry out first-off, in-process and final inspections using precision measuring equipmentEnsure all components meet required quality standards and specificationsComplete routine machine maintenance and daily equipment checksWork closely with Production, Engineering and Inspection teams to resolve any manufacturing issuesIdentify opportunities to improve machining processes and production efficiencySupport the introduction of suitable components from conventional machining to CNCHelp develop standard machining processes and best working practicesMaintain a clean, organised and safe working environmentSupport continuous improvement activities across the machine shop Machine Shop Technician Ideal Candidate: Previous experience setting and operating CNC machineryThe ability to read and understand engineering drawingsGood knowledge of machining techniques, tooling and manufacturing processesExperience using precision ..... full job details .....
