Machine Shop Supervisor (Lathe Area) - Newmarket, Suffolk - 50,000- 60,000 (Negotiable) + BenefitsAre you an experienced machining professional with strong technical knowledge of multi-spindle lathes, looking to step into a leadership role within a fast-paced manufacturing environment?We are currently recruiting for a Production Supervisor for the machine shop at a world leading engineering firm. Based in Newmarket, this role will see you take ownership of all technical aspects within the Lathe Area, supporting a 24/7 environment consisting of multi-spindle lathes, cold heading equipment, and associated machineryProduction Supervisor Responsibilities: - Oversee all technical aspects of the Lathe Area, including machines and ancillary equipmentDiagnose and resolve machining and production issues alongside the teamSupport and work closely with the other supervisors to drive output and performanceProvide technical training and support to operators within the departmentLiaise with production control and other departments to meet business requirementsSupport service engineers during maintenance and equipment servicingIdentify and implement process improvements and cost-saving initiativesAssist production when required to maintain output levelsEnsure smooth operation across a 24/7 manufacturing environment About You: - Proven experience working with multi-spindle lathe machines and associated equipment5-10 year''s experience within a high-volume manufacturing environmentStrong ..... full job details .....
