Machine Shop Operative Motorcycle Manufacturer Location: Hinckley, Leicestershire Start Dates: July and August 2025 Pay: £14.68 £18.36 per hour (depending on shift) We are currently recruiting on behalf of a prestigious motorcycle manufacturer based in Hinckley. This is an exciting opportunity to join a world-renowned company working within their machine shop on a rotating shift pattern. Shift Pattern (rotating weekly): 5:45am 2:00pm (Monday to Friday) 1:45pm 10:00pm (Monday to Friday) 9:45pm 6:00am (Monday to Thursday) Key Responsibilities: Operating a variety of machinery, including CNC machines, grinders, polishers, and balancing tools Handling and preparing machined components used in motorcycle manufacturing Using precision measuring equipment such as micrometers, plug gauges, and thread gauges Completing data collection sheets accurately and escalating quality issues to the Production Engineer as required Performing manual handling tasks (up to 13kg) and using air tools as part of daily operations Following a single-piece flow manufacturing system Supporting other component preparation tasks as necessary Requirements: Previous experience working in a machine shop or production environment Ability to read and understand technical drawings and measurement tools Comfortable with physically demanding work and consistent manual handling Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality Must be reliable and flexible with shift work What ..... full job details .....
