Location: Warrington, WA1
Pay: £18.36 per hour, rising to £20.00+ once fully trained
Hours: 36 hours per week | 3-shift rotation
Contract: Long-term ongoing, with potential to become permanent
£34,370 annual equivalent, progressing to £37,440+
Pertemps is recruiting an experienced Machine Setter / Engineering Setter to join a well-established precision engineering manufacturer in Warrington.
This is a long-term opportunity offering £18.36 per hour inclusive of shift allowance, increasing to £20.00+ per hour once fully trained.
The role
You'll be responsible for setting and operating specialist manufacturing machinery, producing precision-engineered components to required quality standards.
Duties include:

• Setting and operating up to three manufacturing/heading machines
• Reading and working from engineering drawings
• Carrying out quality inspection checks
• Using micrometres, vernier callipers, gauges and other measuring equipment
• Making machine adjustments and resolving production issues
• Completing production records and SAP transactions
• Ensuring quality and safety standards are maintained.

What we're looking for

• Machine setting or mechanical engineering experience
• Experience within an engineering/manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read engineering drawings.
• Experience using precision measuring equipment.
• Level 3 Engineering qualification or relevant experience
• Good mechanical and problem-solving skills

Experience as a Machine Setter, Engineering Setter, Heading Setter, Machine Operator/Setter or Manufacturing Technician would be particularly relevant.
Shifts
You'll work a rotating 3-shift pattern:
6am–2pm | 2pm–10pm | 10pm–6am
