Machine Setter

Quick Staff UK is pleased to be recruiting on behalf of an established manufacturing business in the Tredegar area. On their behalf, we are seeking to recruit a number of experienced Machine Setters to support shift operations within a plastics manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on role working with injection moulding machinery and requires a strong technical skill set and mechanical aptitude. Key Responsibilities: Install and align moulds accurately; set machine parameters including pressure, temperature, and cycle times Run trial parts, verify output meets quality standards, and adjust settings as needed Identify and resolve mechanical faults and defects to reduce downtime Use measuring tools such as calipers and micrometers to inspect parts and record results Perform routine maintenance and keep machinery and work areas clean and safe Suggest ways to optimise machine performance and improve product quality Follow all safety protocols and maintain a hazard-free workspace Key Requirements: Previous experience with plastics injection moulding preferred Ability to read technical drawings and adjust machine settings Familiarity with tools and equipment such as milling machines Strong attention to detail and a proactive approach to quality Physically capable and comfortable with manual handling tasks Effective team player with good communication skills Hours of Work: We have opportunities on the following shifts: Monday to Thursday 9.15pm to 7.00am 18.07p/hr Monday ..... full job details .....
