Machine Operator Location: Poole, DorsetJob Type: PermanentSalary: £15.88 per hour including shift allowanceHours: Average 42 hours per weekWe are recruiting for a Permanent Machine Operator to join a well-established global food packaging manufacturer based in Poole, Dorset.This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is technically minded and enjoys working with production machinery. You will join a busy manufacturing team responsible for operating and monitoring extrusion equipment, with full training provided.Training and Shift Pattern You will initially work Monday to Friday, 8.00am - 4.00pm during your training period.Once trained, you will move onto a rotating 2 weeks of days followed by 2 weeks of nights: Week 1 - Days (6am-6pm): Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Week 2 - Days (6am-6pm): Wednesday and Thursday Week 3 - Nights (6pm-6am): Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday Week 4 - Nights (6pm-6am): Wednesday and Thursday The four-week pattern then repeats.Sunday is counted as the first day of the working week, resulting in 48 paid hours in the first week and 36 hours in the second, averaging 42 hours per week.The Role Working within the extrusion department, you will be responsible for operating production equipment safely and efficiently whilst ensuring finished materials meet the required specifications.Your duties will include: Starting up and monitoring extrusion machinery.
