Machine Operator - Case Making

Operate case-making machinery to produce high-quality packaging that meets customer specifications and daily output targets. You''ll work across a range of box making and die-cutting processes in a busy production environment with full training provided.

Role details

Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 07:00-16:00, with two 30-minute unpaid breaks each day.

The role

The Machine Operator - Case Making plays a key role in producing packaging to customer order requirements within agreed timelines. The role exists to support increased production following a move to a larger manufacturing site and ongoing expansion. You''ll work within the production team on case-making machinery, contributing to all stages of the manufacturing process.

What you''ll be doing

* Operating a range of case-making machines, including die cutting and box making, to keep production running smoothly.
* Setting up machines, feeding raw materials, and adjusting settings to resolve issues and maintain output.
* Carrying out basic TPM activities and routine checks on machinery.
* Producing packaging in line with customer specifications and agreed completion timescales.
* Meeting or exceeding daily machine and productivity output targets.
* Performing regular quality checks, maintaining records, and keeping the work area clean and organised while following health and safety procedures.

What we''re looking for

* Strong track record of good timekeeping and attendance.
* Familiarity with operating production machinery is beneficial, but full training will be provided.
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Ability to set and operate machinery used in box making, slitting and die-cutting.
* Good communication skills and a collaborative approach.
* Interest in and willingness to support continuous improvement activities.
* Strong planning, organisational and prioritisation skills, with the ability to work to targets and deadlines.
* Flexible, positive attitude and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
