About the Role

As a Machine Operator (PM Shift) based in Dudley, you will join a structural steel manufacturer on a full-time, temporary basis, earning £14.50 per hour. Working Monday to Friday from 2pm to 10pm, your primary duties involve setting up and operating steel processing machinery to produce high-quality components. Steel Machine Operator

Pay Rate: £14.50ph
Hours of Work: Monday to Friday - 2pm to 10pm
We're currently recruiting for an experienced Steel Machine Operator to join a well-established and respected structural steel manufacturer. This is an excellent opportunity to secure ongoing work with the potential to become a permanent member of the team. You'll be responsible for operating steel processing machinery to produce high-quality structural steel components, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, and to specification.
Key Responsibilities

Set up and operate steel machining equipment.
Read and interpret engineering drawings.
Process structural steel sections accurately to required specifications.
Carry out quality checks throughout production.
Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets.

Requirements

Previous experience operating machinery within the structural steel or steel fabrication industry is essential.
Experience with steel machining equipment such as drilling, sawing, beam lines, or CNC machinery is highly desirable.
Ability to read and understand engineering drawings.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing quality work.
A reliable work ethic and a positive attitude towards teamwork.
