Machine Operator

Job Responsibilities

• Operate production machinery to perform specific operations or produce parts according to specifications.
• Set up machines, load raw materials, and ensure proper functioning before starting production runs.
• Manually operate machines during production, monitoring performance and making adjustments as needed.
• Unload finished products from machines, inspecting for quality and adherence to standards.
• Follow written and verbal instructions, as well as general operating procedures, applying judgement and selectivity where necessary.
• Maintain control over product quality throughout the manufacturing process.
• Identify potential issues or problems with machinery or production processes and escalate when necessary.
• Assist with basic data entry and utilise computer systems for recording production data.
• Ensure a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Required Skills andamp; Qualifications

• Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills related to operating machinery.
• Experience working with production or manufacturing equipment is preferred.
• Ability to interpret written and verbal instructions accurately.
• Basic computer proficiency and data entry skills.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining product quality.
• Ability to identify issues and problems, with the confidence to seek assistance when needed.
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential.
