About the Role

Based in Bangor, this temporary Machine Operator position with Manpower UK carries an hourly rate of £13.12 to £13.41. You will join a small production crew within a manufacturing facility that creates adhesive coated tapes for automotive, aerospace, and industrial clients. Your primary duties involve operating large-scale industrial machinery, setting up equipment for production runs, and loading raw materials according to defined procedures. Working to a clear schedule, you will help the team meet daily output targets while maintaining consistent quality. This role suits someone who values safety, reliability, and precision. Shifts follow a set working pattern, and full training on specific machinery will be provided.

Job Responsibilities

  • Operate production machines to perform operations and produce parts in line with defined instructions and operating procedures.
  • Follow a production schedule and work within a small team/crew to meet daily output targets.
  • Set up machines and prepare them for production runs.
  • Load raw materials into machines and ensure correct setup for the required product.
  • Manually operate production equipment as required, monitoring the process throughout.
  • Unload finished product from the machine and prepare items for the next stage of production.
  • Work from written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures, applying judgement and selectivity where needed.
  • Maintain product quality by monitoring output and identifying issues/problems, escalating to support where assistance is required.
  • Complete basic data entry and computer tasks as required to support production records and traceability.
  • Work safely at all times, following company safety procedures and safe working practices as the number one priority.
  • Demonstrate reliable timekeeping and a strong commitment to following instructions and working to your best ability.

Required Skills andamp; Qualifications

  • FLT licence (Counterbalance or equivalent) and experience operating production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical skills to operate and support industrial machinery safely and effectively.
  • Ability to work with moderate work direction and identify issues/problems, knowing when to seek assistance.
  • Experience working in a quality-focused manufacturing setting where consistency and attention to detail are essential.
  • Basic data entry and computer proficiency to complete production-related records.
  • Strong understanding of safe working practices and the ability to work reliably in a production environment.
