Job Responsibilities

  • Set up production machines in line with written or verbal instructions and general operating procedures.
  • Load raw material into machines safely and accurately.
  • Manually operate machines to perform operations and produce parts.
  • Monitor production runs and apply judgement to identify issues or problems that may affect output.
  • Unload finished product from the machine and prepare items for the next stage of production.
  • Maintain control over product quality by following operating standards and checking outputs as required.
  • Complete basic data entry and record relevant production information using computer systems where required.

Required Skills andamp; Qualifications

  • Good mechanical aptitude and practical mechanical skills.
  • Ability to follow written and verbal instructions accurately.
  • Some judgement and selectivity to ensure correct operation and consistent quality.
  • Experience or confidence working with production machinery and performing routine machine set-ups.
  • Strong attention to detail to support quality control responsibilities.
  • Basic data entry and computer proficiency (preferred).
  • Ability to work safely in a production environment and follow standard operating procedures.
  • Good timekeeping and reliability to support continuous production schedules.
