INK / PRINT / CHEMICAL BACKGROUND PREFERABLEIn-House Operative - Day Shift Monday-Thursday: 10:00 AM - 6:00 PM Friday: 8:00 AM - 4:00 PM Location - Newport Role Purpose To provide on-site ink production support to the customer while maintaining high standards of health and safety, hygiene, quality, and operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities Ink Production and Operational Support Observe all customer and Flint Group Health and Safety rules and policies Ensure the ink area complies with customer hygiene accreditation standards Maintain dispensing equipment and working areas using good housekeeping practices Dispense ink in line with daily production plans Re-work or remix press returns where possible Move products to and from holding bays Clear press returns from the production floor Book press returns into the dispense management system Store press returns in clearly marked locations Maintain agreed levels of "common runner" inks in the Ink Kitchen Wash ink buckets as required Additional Responsibilities (After full training - approximately 6-12 months) Place weekly material orders using the online portal (Webshop) and order forms File delivery notes for month-end consignment stock counts Replenish material stocks and update batch numbers in the dispense management system Maintain and update ink recipe files Assist with unloading ink deliveries during normal working hours Arrange collection of empty containers or waste ink, ensuring: Containers are safely ..... full job details .....
