Machine Operator

Job Title: Machine OperatorLocation: Melksham, WiltshirePay: 25 - 28 per hour CIS or up to 21.14 PAYEStart Date: 3rd November Job Summary: Fusion People are currently recruiting for an experienced Machine Operator to join a busy substation construction project in Melksham. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating heavy plant machinery safely and efficiently to support civil engineering and groundworks activities associated with the construction and installation of electrical infrastructure.Key Responsibilities- Operate plant machinery including excavators, dumpers and rollers in a safe and efficient manner- Carry out excavation, trenching and grading works in accordance with project specifications- Assist with earthworks, ducting installation and groundwork activities- Conduct daily pre-start checks and routine maintenance on plant equipment- Work closely with site supervisors, groundworkers and engineering teams- Ensure all work is completed in line with health and safety regulations and site procedures- Report any defects, hazards or safety concerns immediately- Maintain a clean and organised work areaRequirements- Valid CPCS or NPORS Machine Operator qualification- Previous experience operating machinery on civil engineering, utilities, infrastructure or substation projects- Good understanding of safe excavation practices around buried services- Ability to work effectively as part of a team- Strong awareness of health and safety requirements- Full UK ..... full job details .....
