About the Role
Pertemps Milton Keynes is seeking a Machine Operative for BASTECH at Lancaster Business Park in Wing, Leighton Buzzard, offering £13.00 per hour on a full-time, temporary basis with potential for permanency. This hands-on role involves operating and monitoring the pultrusion production line, managing the roving rack, and mixing resin to support continuous output. You will ensure products are manufactured safely to required standards while completing production documentation. Key skills include experience within a manufacturing environment, attention to detail, and the ability to work on a rotating shift pattern. Previous pultrusion knowledge is advantageous but not essential for this position.

Pertemps are currently recruiting for an experienced Production Operative to join BASTECH, based at Lancaster Business Park in Wing, Leighton Buzzard.
This is a hands-on role working within a busy pultrusion manufacturing environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day running of the pultrusion production process and ensuring products are produced safely and to the required standards.
The Role:
- Operating and monitoring the pultrusion production line
- Supporting the day-to-day running of the pultrusion machine process
- Mixing resin as required
- Managing the roving rack to support continuous production
- Completing production documentation and records
- Using hand tools and measuring equipment
- Carrying out general housekeeping and keeping the work area clean and tidy
- Following all health and safety procedures
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment is essential
- Good manual dexterity and attention to detail
- Comfortable using hand tools
- Able to use measuring instruments
- Physically fit and able to carry out regular lifting
- Reliable, hardworking and able to work as part of a team
This is a physically demanding role involving regular lifting of heavy objects. The working environment may include a mild resin odour and filament dust.
