Pertemps West Bromwich is recruiting a Machine Operative for a full-time position based in West Bromwich, paying £14.36 per hour. The role follows a rotating shift pattern and involves setting up and operating slitting machines to cut metal to precise measurements. You will monitor material and finished product quality, perform routine maintenance, and troubleshoot machinery as required. Close collaboration with the production team is necessary to achieve daily targets. Candidates need previous experience with slitting machines, ideally handling metal, alongside strong attention to detail. Adherence to health and safety procedures is essential throughout all tasks.

Pertemps West Bromwich are currently seeking a machine operator on a rotating shift pattern. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced individual to join a well-established and growing company.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and set up slitting machines to cut metal to specified dimensions.
Ensure machines are running efficiently and safely.
Monitor quality of materials and finished products, ensuring they meet company standards.
Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on machinery as required.
Work closely with the production team to meet daily targets and deadlines.
Follow health and safety procedures at all times.

What We’re Looking For:

Previous experience operating slitting machines, ideally working with metal.
Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
Forklift certificate and experience is beneficial but not essential.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Good problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to work.
Flexibility to work on a rotating shift pattern.
Great attitude and willingness to learn

This role will be working on a rotating shift pattern of 06:00-14:00 and 14:00-22:00 Monday to Friday paying £14.36 per hour.
