Machine Learning ResearcherOxfordshire - Hybrid SRG are working with an early-stage start-up developing a new technology platform utilising ML to identify Protein structures and interactions at scale and boost drug discovery efforts. They are looking to recruit Machine Learning research lead to work alongside the founders and develop ML based analyses, mathematical models pipelines.This is an exciting opportunity to be an integral part of an emerging business, helping to shape the development and implementation of new technologies that have the potential to transform traditional drug discovery efforts. The RoleDesign and develop machine learning and mathematical models for analysing experimental dataImplement proof-of-concept software in PythonBuild and manage data pipelines from laboratory instruments through to analysisRun, evaluate and iterate algorithms against defined technical metricsEngage with broader scientific and technical challenges as they arise Summary of ExperienceDegree (or higher) in Machine Learning, Computer Science or relevant subject.Strong Python software engineering skills.Experience in Machine learning and mathematical modelsPrevious exposure to biology, biochemistry or drug discovery would be advantageous.
