Machine Assistant

We are currently recruiting for a Machine Assistant / Trainee Machine Operator to join a busy manufacturing environment in Bolton. This is a great opportunity for someone with previous shop-floor or manufacturing experience who is looking to develop their skills and progress into machine operation. You don''t need to have previous fabrication experience, as full training will be provided. However, experience working around machinery, sheet metal or within a manufacturing environment would be a real advantage. The Role Working as part of the production team, you will initially support the skilled machine operators and fabrication team, learning how the machinery and production processes work. Your duties will include: Assisting with the preparation and movement of sheet metal through the production process Cutting sheet metal down to the required sizes Loading, unloading and moving materials around the shop floor Assisting operators with the guillotine and press brake machinery Supporting the fabrication team with day-to-day production requirements Ensuring materials are prepared correctly and production runs smoothly Carrying out basic quality checks on finished and in-process materials Following all health and safety and production procedures Keeping the workshop and work areas clean, tidy and organised Learning to operate machinery as your skills and confidence develop About You The ideal candidate will have: Previous shop-floor, manufacturing or ..... full job details .....
