Job Description - Learning Support Assistant (SEN)

Job Title: Learning Support Assistant (SEN)
Responsible to: SENCO

Purpose of the Role
To support students with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in accessing learning, developing independence, and achieving their full potential in a safe and inclusive school environment.

• Provide one-to-one and small group support for students with SEN.
• Assist teachers in delivering inclusive learning.
• Support students'' academic, social, and emotional development.
• Help implement individual learning and support plans.
• Promote safeguarding, inclusion, and positive behaviour.

• Experience supporting children or young people with SEN (desirable).
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Patient, caring, and reliable.
• GCSE English and Maths (or equivalent).
• Commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people
