Key Responsibilities:

  • Support students with a range of SEN, including physical, learning, emotional, and behavioural needs.

  • Assist with the delivery of tailored learning plans and activities.

  • Help create an inclusive and supportive classroom environment.

  • Encourage social interaction and independence amongst students.

  • Provide one-on-one and small group support in the classroom.

  • Work closely with class teachers, SENCOs (Special Educational Needs Coordinators), and other staff members to monitor student progress.

  • Support students with their emotional and personal development.



Essential Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience working with children or young people (SEN experience is desirable but not essential).

  • A genuine passion for working with children with diverse learning needs.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • A patient, empathetic, and flexible approach.

  • Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

  • An understanding of safeguarding practices and procedures.



Desirable Qualifications:

  • A Level 2 or 3 qualification in Special Educational Needs (or similar) is preferred.

  • First Aid training is a bonus.

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting.
