SEN Teaching Assistant - Make a Real Difference

Are you an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant looking for a role where your skills and experience can genuinely change a child''s life?

We are looking for a dedicated and compassionate individual to join our team, supporting children with a range of complex needs, including Autism, SEMH and trauma.

This role would suit someone who understands that every child is different and who can look beyond behaviour to understand the needs behind it. You will play an important role in helping children feel safe, understood and supported, while encouraging them to develop socially, emotionally and academically.

What will you be doing?

You will work closely with pupils who may need additional support with their behaviour, emotional wellbeing and learning. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include building positive relationships, encouraging engagement in education, supporting emotional regulation and helping children develop the confidence and skills they need to progress.

You will need to be calm, patient and consistent, particularly when working with children who may display challenging or distressed behaviour.

We are looking for someone who:

Has previous hands-on experience working within SEN.

Has experience supporting children with Autism and/or SEMH.

Has worked with children affected by trauma or adverse experiences.

Understands the importance of a consistent, nurturing and trauma-informed approach.

Can remain calm and professional when faced with challenging situations.

Is confident building positive relationships with children who may struggle to trust adults.

Is enthusiastic, reliable and genuinely passionate about supporting children.

Is able to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.

Holds a full UK driving licence and has access to their own vehicle, as the setting is not easily accessible by public transport.
