Primary Class Teacher- Lower Key Stage 2 Newport

A friendly Newport primary school is looking for a confident and enthusiastic Class Teacher to join its Lower Key Stage 2 team from September 2026.

This is a school where relationships really matter. Staff know their pupils well, expectations are high and there is a genuine focus on helping children become independent, curious learners.

You''ll take responsibility for your own class, planning and delivering engaging lessons across the curriculum while creating a classroom where children feel settled, supported and ready to learn. The school is particularly keen to hear from teachers who enjoy bringing lessons to life and are happy to contribute to the wider life of the school.

The successful teacher will:

• Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
• Have recent experience teaching within a primary setting.
• Be confident planning and delivering lessons across the Curriculum for Wales.
• Build positive relationships with pupils, parents and colleagues.
• Have a calm, consistent approach to classroom management.
• Hold an Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or be willing to obtain one.
• Be registered with the Education Workforce Council (EWC).
• Be able to provide two recent professional references.
