Due to the ongoing expansion of SOWGA London Region, we have an exciting opportunity within the team - London Static Site Cover Engineer. This is a semi-static position working Monday to Friday, 8:00am – 5:00pm. The initial role involves routine holiday and sickness cover for our London static sites located in Victoria, Westminster, Mayfair, and White City. The successful applicant will be familiarized with all sites, enabling them to confidently cover without the need for a handover. They must be comfortable with changing environments, possess excellent communication skills, and deliver high customer service. Flexibility to switch between static and semi-static roles is required.

Responsibilities

Perform planned and reactive maintenance on building plant, equipment, and systems to meet and exceed expectations and service level agreements.

Manage building services tasks, including BMS monitoring, emergency lighting repairs, fire alarm systems, pumps, FCUs, AHUs, and other HVAC systems.

Have knowledge of and perform water treatment tasks in accordance with ACOP L8 standards.

Ensure all reactive repairs are completed safely and within appropriate timeframes.

Report hazards on site for prompt rectification.

Maintain positive relationships with the Landlord team and work with site-wide plant and equipment.

Support investigation and rectification of technical faults.

Supervise subcontractors and liaise with them effectively.

Handle urgent tasks confidently, understanding the critical nature of the site.

Minimum Requirements

Mechanical/Electrical qualifications and basic understanding of building services.

L8 Water Treatment Awareness.

Professional approach and effective communication with clients weekly.

Availability for regular out-of-hours work, paid at overtime rates.

Availability for at least one contracted Saturday per month for supervision and OOH PPMs.

Not currently in a probation period.
