Logistics Support Technician Location: Bangor Salary: £16.68 per hour Hours: 36.25 hours per week, Monday to Friday Duration: 6 months, with possible extension Closing Date: Monday 31st August 2026 at 12 noon We are currently recruiting on behalf of a public sector organisation for a Logistics Support Technician to join their team based in Bangor. This is a varied operational logistics role supporting fleet, supplies and service delivery activities across Northern Ireland. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe transportation and delivery of equipment, supplies and personnel, vehicle and equipment checks, stock and asset management, maintenance and decontamination duties, and supporting operational incidents when required. Key Duties and Responsibilities: Drive a range of specialist service vehicles, including LGVs, vans, cars and fire appliances across Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland. Safely transport and deliver equipment, materials, supplies and personnel to operational locations, training exercises and incidents. Load and unload vehicles and goods using forklift trucks and other mechanical handling equipment. Carry out vehicle inspections, refuelling and routine checks, reporting any defects. Support the issue, receipt, transfer and inventory management of operational appliances and equipment.
